Simple in-cab operation
When in operation, a vehicle shows a default red hand symbol. On approaching a machine, the pedestrian signals the driver or operator with a thumbs-up gesture from a safe distance asking for permission to enter the work zone.
On seeing the thumbs-up signal, the operator will bring the machine to a controlled stop then press the in-cab digital “Thumbs Up” button, which disables the machine and changes the LED sign to a green thumbs-up.
Personnel can then approach the machine with confidence, knowing they have been acknowledged by the operator.
