FTC Invited to UKMHA Research Roundtable

We’re proud that FTC Safety Solutions were formally invited to join a select group of safety professionals recently at the UK Material Handling Association’s (UKMHA) Research Roundtable – a closed-door event focused on one of the most pressing issues in our industry:

"Fork Lift Truck Fatalities: Why Do They Still Occur in Modern Warehouses?"

Despite advances in technology, training and regulatory oversight, over 2,000 forklift-related incidents occur annually in the UK, many of which result in life-changing injuries – and in the most tragic cases, fatalities.

It raises a deeply uncomfortable but necessary question:
How can such avoidable outcomes still happen in modern warehouses?
The Research Roundtable offers a rare platform for open, collaborative discussion among safety leaders, technical experts, manufacturers and operational managers. It’s a space to challenge assumptions, explore data-led insights, and share hard-earned experience – not just to reflect on what’s going wrong, but to shape practical, impactful change.

FTC’s invitation to this event is a reflection of the respected voice we have earned in the materials handling safety sector. It is also an opportunity – and a responsibility – to represent the real-world experiences of our clients and partners, and to push for actionable solutions that can reduce harm, improve safety culture, and ultimately save lives.

We looked forward to contributing to the conversation, asking the right questions, and learning from our peers. Because safety is never static – and progress depends on our willingness to listen, adapt and act.
